The Temple re-opening has been POSTPONED
Due to the spread of the Indian variant of the coronavirus to the UK and
specifically to Southampton, as a precautionary measure, the re-opening of the
Temple has been postponed.
This will certainly cause a lot of disappointment but we have all seen the
effect of the Indian variant in India.
The Vedic Society Committee will continue to monitor the situation and hope to
reschedule the re-opening of the Temple soon.
COVID vaccination provides good protection against COVID including this variant.
It is crucial that if you are 30 years old and over and have not had a COVID
vaccination, please make contact with the NHS to
book your vaccination. Please
book your vaccination even if you had declined the vaccination in the past but
have now changed your mind.

objective of dealing with any kind of emergency or distress situation, like
posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, and to provide relief to the affected. It is a
public charitable trust under the name of ‘Prime Minister’s Citizen Assistance
and Relief in Emergency Situations Fund’ (PM CARES Fund)’.
