Coronavirus (Covid-19) Update

Temple will open only on Sundays

10am to 12 noon

Temple is closed Monday to Saturday
(except for certain festivals)

Due to Covid-19 restrictions and to ensure safety for all devotees, we have implemented a one way system in the temple, hand sanitising, temperature measurements and contact tracing. However, to ensure that all this is done, we need volunteers. This will allow us to open the temple for longer periods. If you are able to volunteer then please contact the Vedic Committee by email: secretary@vedicsociety.com or vedicsocietysoton@gmail.com

In line with the UK government guidance, the Temple will open for personal prayers and darshan only. At present, there will be no communal gatherings of any kind including no communal Aarti.

Those who come to the Temple must take responsibility for their health. Only a limited number will be allowed into the Temple at any one time. Your support, cooperation and patience are greatly appreciated.

Precautions when attending the Temple.

Donations
A request for donations

Due to the Covid 19 pandemic, the Temple has had a great reduction in income.

The Temple's main income comes from donations, football parking and ACCA Hall hire. Since the pandemic all three income streams have dried up.

The day-to-day fixed costs as well as maintenance issues still need to be paid for. We are now having to use the Temple's emergency funds.

Your Temple needs your help more than ever now. We know these are difficult times for many of us. However, if all of us donated even 10 or 20 it will help collectively.

Please also consider creating a standing order from your bank account. A small monthly donation of even 5 will go a long way.

Please make a donation today

1. By a bank transfer or set up a standing order to:
Vedic Society of Southampton
Sort code: 602003
Account Number: 34671722
or

2. Send a cheque made out to Vedic Society of Southampton
to Vedic Society Hindu Temple, 79 195 Radcliffe Road, Southampton. SO14 OPS
or

3. Donate online through our website
https://www.vedicsociety.com/pages/Main/Donate.htm

Thank you for your help and support over the years.
